ABC statement on SA COVID-19 lockdown

Adelaide Brighton Cement (ABC) continues to monitor COVID-19 updates and is making operational decisions as the situation evolves.

ABC’s operations will continue to operate to support the mining industry, essential infrastructure and services and primary industry.

Our key operational personnel are continuing to work, so long as they are not in a high-risk category for their own personal health or that they have potentially been exposed to the virus at any of the hotspot locations. Non-operational staff are working from home.

The health and safety of our staff, contractors, customers and the public remains our number one priority. All decisions are being made to keep our team and the community safe, in line with COVID-19 guidelines and directives from the Government and Health Department.

We encourage local residents to use the community hotline or website to raise any concerns they may have. Please do not visit site. Birkenhead site is now a restricted access site and unauthorised visitors will not be permitted to enter the premises.

As a proud Australian-owned company employing approximately 1,500 people nationally, Adbri are committed to continuing our operations in the interests of our staff and our customers, particularly those in the construction and mining industries. We are all focused on maintaining operations for the benefit of the local, state and national economy.

These are uncertain and challenging times for us all, we wish you and your families well and hope you all stay well.
